Question:  ‘Are wind turbines inefficient?  Is it true that they only operating (sic) 30 per cent of the time?’

Npower says: Over the course of a year it will generate about 30 per cent of the theoretical maximum output’.

EVAG says: Npower agree then that they are not an efficient form of energy! As a consequence wind power will ALWAYS need backup, in the form of conventional electricity generation – it simply cannot meet demand – this is well documented. The Government’s own figure for saving of the UK’s CO2 emission by renewable power generation is less than 0.0004 of global total CO2 emission and will not alter atmospheric CO2 concentration or deflect climate change. No windpower company has been able to document reduced nuclear or fossil fuel as a result of wind power. Countries which have led the way on wind power are pulling back. So why are energy companies such as npower putting windfarms across the UK? Because they are receiving massive subsidies from UK taxpayers. Npower renewables is a subsidiary of RWE – a German multinational company.  Npower has no interest in the well being of the residents of the Endrick Valley.
