Question:  ‘Are there going to be hundreds of wind turbines all over the countryside?’

Npower says: ‘The UK Government is working towards a target of 10 per cent of the UK’s electricity supply, to come from renewable energy by 2010’etc. etc.

EVAG says: Npower avoids its own question. There already are wind turbines all over the Scottish countryside (See SWAP and Country Guardian links on the EVAG website).  And there are many, many more awaiting decision, or pending. In this immediate area, Buchlyvie Muir, Kippen Muir and Duntreath have all been earmarked as well as the extension to the Earlsburn Wind Farm.  If one industrial wind plant is allowed in to the Endrick Valley, it is considered very likely that these other sites will come to proposal.
